Autumn Grief Release - Chinese Medicine and Yoga practice Workshop w/ dinner

  • Five Elements Holistic Health, Yoga & Wellness 42 S Main St Coopersburg, PA 18036 United States (map)

During the season of Autumn in Chinese medicine we look to move energy in the lungs and the large intestine. Stagnant energy in this season directly leads to the following:

*Asthma

*Allergic reactions - seasonal, foods or envrionmental

*Eczema and rashes

*Frequent illness - especially viral, colds etc.

*Profuse Sweating or innability to sweat

*Pneumonia, Bronchitis

*Constipation or watery diarrhea

*Crohn's, IBD

*Being judgmental of others

According to Chinese medicine theory grief is housed in the lungs, and the large intestine "gets rid of what we don't need". Grief comes at the end of anything, not just a death. If you find yourself angry or sad about the way something has happened, you are in the grief cycle around it. In order to have true, vibrant health one must learn how to come to acceptance - the final stage of the grief cycle - and one that only a small percentage of people truly know how to attain. During this class I will give tools to maneuver through the grief cycle with more ease so we can achieve more peace in our lives. I will also outline the foods and herbs that contribute to lung and large intestine health and we will enjoy a yoga practice and a meal together that will help move this system's energy.

Here's what's on the menu:

Roasted garlic and cauliflower chowder w/ kale

Garlic hummus w/ assorted vegetables
